Know My Culture – Philippines – Event Recap

The the first of several “Know My Culture” event series, Know My Culture – Philippines of the North Dakota Asian-American Arts and Cultural Initiative in partnership with the Morton Mandan Public Library was a success! Friends and families came to learn about the history of the Filipino-American people, saw some cultural items and costumes, listened and asked questions from the panelists and of course, ate some delicious Filipino food! We want to thank everyone for coming to this free event and learned about the Philippines and about the Filipino culture. Thank you Blackstone Grill Filipino Kitchen and several people for providing some authentic and delicious Filipino foods. Thank you for our panelists Joan Klein, Michelle de Leon and Maria Zuraff for sharing your stories and experiences, and answering some questions from the audience.
