We’re on a Mission to Make Asian-American Arts and Culture More Visible in North Dakota
Music, Dance, Paintings, Sculpture and More!
The North Dakota Asian-American Arts and Cultural Initiative (NDAAACI) is a 501(c)(3) organization founded to provide a platform for Asian American artistic expression and to showcase the cultural traditions of Asians and Asian Americans living throughout the great state of North Dakota.
Our nonprofit organization was founded in Bismarck–Mandan by Crista McCandless and Joan Klein in 2022. In addition to charitable fundraising, NDAAACI serves to host, promote and participate in art exhibitions and other celebrations of Asian and Asian American culture.
Our board of directors, officers, and featured artists are all grateful to contribute to North Dakota’s ever growing diverse cultural traditions. By providing opportunities for local and visiting members of the Asian American community to display their music, dance, paintings, sculptures, and other forms of artistic expression, we hope to share the treasures that millions of people have strived to create over the course of thousands of years of history – and make them an indelible part of North Dakota’s own proud history as well.
